My recent voyage aboard Silversea’s Silver Ray, travelling from Barcelona to Rome with my mum, Rose, was exactly that: a truly special adventure filled with beauty, ease, and memories I’ll cherish forever.
A Luxury Escape with Heart

St Tropez, France – This glamorous seaside town invited us to slow down and savour the Riviera lifestyle. We wandered the harbour, browsed boutiques, and sipped rosé in the sunshine.
Positano, Italy – A true postcard come to life. The cliffs, the colours, the lemon-scented air—it was all enchanting. We lunched overlooking the sea, surrounded by beauty and laughter.
Monaco – Regal and radiant, Monaco was a joy to explore. We admired the yachts, took in the grandeur of Monte Carlo, and even enjoyed a quiet moment above the city, watching the sun dip below the horizon.
Tuscany, Italy – A scenic drive into the Tuscan countryside led us to a family-run vineyard, where we sampled Chianti and olive oil beneath the olive trees. Sharing this rustic elegance with Mum was a dream come true.
Rome, Italy – Our final stop and a grand finale. The Eternal City’s history, passion, and energy were the perfect way to end our journey. From the Colosseum to the Vatican, it was a whirlwind of awe and wonder.
